Bruce's Training:
I have an appreciation for the traditional vaquero horsemanship.
Given the chance and time I prefer to start a young horse in
the hackamore rather than a snaffle. My horses go thru the stages of the
hackamore, two rein and then straight up in the bridle.
Obviously with my outside horses time is a factor for that to happen,
but I am confident that that form of training transcends into those horses also.
I do a lot of ranch work and ranch roping with my horses.
The bulk of my training is starting young horses. If I had to label my "philosophy" I guess
it would be termed "natural". When starting a young horse the goal is for them to have
a really good foundation that will be with them always. I like my horses to have a soft
feel and collection.
If you would like more information as far as the steps that I take
when starting a young horse please do not hesitate to contact me. I
hope this has been helpful and I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank You,
Bruce
